Co-Teaching & Inclusion Instructional Practices, Richland 2 School District

Dates of Engagement: 2024-ongoing

Description of Services Provided:

We partnered with Richland 2 School District to create a multiyear roadmap for seven schools that were identified as Additional Targeted Support & Improvement. These schools have been consistently academically low performing, especially within key subgroup populations. Through this project, we conducted a thorough performance data review along with actionable improvement strategies. After completing site visits and having conversations with stakeholders, we then developed and delivered a comprehensive approach to improvement including strategic master scheduling for student learning, redesign on specialized support classes/programs along with tailored district professional development and coaching for identified leaders (principals, district staff, coaches).

Key Outcomes & Achievements:

Through this project, we helped school leaders create an actionable plan for each identified school to improve performance During the first year of implementation, our team worked to establish a strong knowledge foundation to help leaders identify key areas and action steps. For year two, we will do additional work to create systems and processes while supporting school/district leaders through customized coaching. A follow-up survey indicated that 85% of participants felt better equipped to lead improvement initiatives in their schools and the overall district.

Alignment with RFP Objectives:

This project showcases our expertise in delivering customized professional development focused on student growth, achievement, data literacy, and instructional pedagogy that align with this RFP’s anticipated outcomes.
