Consultants who have held the seat they advise on

500+

Combined years of leadership experience

Our story

Think Differently. Live Studiously.

Studiously started because too many good organizations were losing funding and stalling on strategy for reasons that had nothing to do with the quality of their work. They had the mission and the people. What they did not have was the eight uninterrupted hours a competitive proposal takes, or a plan with a mechanism underneath it.

Our founder, Dr. Amy Davis, ran the grants, research, and development office for a Title I district before starting the firm. She built Studiously to be the partner she had needed: a team that has done the job, not just studied it.

Today that team spans K-12 districts, colleges and universities, nonprofits, government agencies, and businesses, with more than 500 combined years of leadership experience behind it. We are a woman-owned small business based in Raleigh, North Carolina, working with clients in 18 states and approved in 29.

The words Live Studiously written in wet sand at the water’s edge

Think differently. Live studiously. The name is the whole idea: work smarter, keep the human part, and leave room for a life outside it.

How we work

Three Things That Shape Every Engagement

We have held the seat

Almost everyone here has run the thing they now advise on. Superintendents, principals, deans, HR directors, a founding CFO. That changes the conversation from theory to experience.

One size fits nobody

We do not arrive with a binder. Every engagement starts with what is actually in the way, and the plan gets built from there.

We stay for the hard part

Strategy is the easy half. We build the routines, the calendar, and the accountability structure that turn a plan into weekly practice, and we stay while it takes hold.
